Discover the HMS Endeavour wooden model, a beautiful coal freighter ship from XVIII Century reconverted for the long expeditions of James Cook by the great South Sea. This ship was launched in 1765 and was chosen by James Cook three years later to prepare his historic trip, the HMS Endeavour was part of important discoveries. Australia was discovered, and Tahiti and numerous islands were located; animal and plant species unknown in Europe were also discovered. For the first time it was calculated with great precision the position in latitude by mathematical formulas. The contribution of James Cook trips to navigation, seamanship and geographical exploration are of historical importance.
